My Two Cents

I purchased the Haba Walker Wagon for my daughter when she was 9 months old and was just beginning to take her first steps while holding onto furniture. You could see how much she wanted to become mobile as she grabbed any light piece of furniture she could, usually a chair, and began pushing it across the room using it as a makeshift walker. I knew I had to get her a baby walker to help her gain her independence but I was worried about many of the reviews I had read regarding the safety of the inexpensive plastic baby walkers when used on hardwood floors (which we have). So, I decided to give the Haba Walker Wagon a try.

I have to say this is one of the best baby purchases I have ever made. Great toy! My daughter loves this baby walker. She goes all around the house with it and on nice days we even take her outside for long walks with her walker wagon. We started with the wheels quite tight to help keep the walker stable and my daughter has never had any accidents with this baby walker. She walks forward with it, then she bends down and pushes it backward. She takes her favorite teddy bear and places him in the seat and pushes him around the room. Sometimes she even climbs on the seat and stands up–but have no fear because the walker is stable enough to support this. It will not tip over.

During the first month of use my daughter would just walk until she crashed into something, and then would keep pushing frustrated that she could no longer move forward. However, by 10 months in age she figured out that objects blocking her path meant she would have to stop and she began coming to halt a few inches away from whatever she was about to crash into. She would then go around to the front of the wagon and push it backwards until she was far enough back to begin the journey forward again.

Overall, a great walker. I highly recommend this baby toy. It is safe for your baby, it is fun for your baby, and it really helps your baby develop the skills needed to begin walking on his own. And, as advertised, it is safe for the home–no damage to our wooden floors and no marks on the many walls and furniture my daughter has crashed into using her Haba Walker Wagon.

Update: My daughter just turned two and she still plays with her walker wagon–14 months of use so far and still counting!
